the DEER

Quite a bit of time has passed since my last post, depending on what kind of time you go by. I have changed my website name to haltsart.com which has been long overdue. Life changes and new developments have led to new directions and flow. It is a honour to be here and I look forward to this new path. Thank you for your patience, and I hope you are doing well wherever you may be. A reminder, take the time to be with Nature, if that means a small park in the cityscape, that will do. Take care of your being and in doing so life will reflect this back to you. And now Hälts presents an original new short ‘the DEER’ with soundscape ‘winter soul’. See you soon.

Landscape

Gratitude, love and respect flow through my brush, onto a piece of paper, so the story goes for this painter man. Softening the effects of life’s edge, and silencing the battle between good and evil. I try to be strong, sometimes it feels like a losing cause, this the doing of the doubting mind playing tricks on me. Truth be told, in the depth of my being, lives the real truth, the only truth, and that is, it is just as it is supposed to be, I am fine, golden, and genuine.  For many years I thought sadness has followed me, and for the longest time I could not find, the reason, the root, the cause, only false leads and unintentional misdeeds, testing the unconditional love of family and loved ones. Some left, they tried their best, my love no less, and so it goes for this painter man. What lies ahead, I cannot express, for this I do not know. Just know that the light will shine, and I will continue on, in grace, with dignity, and in honour of the ones who gave their lives to the greater meaning.

‘the simple things’

A hälts minimoiton with soundscape ‘right hand left hand’ featuring nothing other than life itself. The watercolour landscape painting titled  ‘A painting for wounded Earth’ is of a special place in my heart along the banks of the mighty Columbia River, Windermere BC, Canada. I am currently on a watercolour and landscape trend, when Nature speaks I have learned to listen, if you know what I mean. It must be said that the subject matter may change however the heart and soul that goes into my work is unchanging, timeless, unbound, and universal.

bear animal medicine

Throughout my short life I have experienced many animal encounters, most recently a black bear, k’a, or Ursus americanus, who reminds me to ready myself for the winter season ahead.

Bear visitation experiences tend to inform my artwork, I will happily share the messages these beautiful beings bring me.

Much like a a bear’s den my studio is a place I like to hibernate into creativity during the long cold winter.

Being thankful

It is so easy to get down on the world we share, ups and downs, often times the downs affecting us deeply, while the good times seem to pass so quickly, they happened and made lasting impressions that are yours for as long as you are here. Be grateful for the good times, they offer medicine to get through the tough times, they are the light in the dark, offering strength for whatever is to come. Remember that despite the hard times you have made it to here, and that truly is a blessing. This is the gift of Mahaloness, it is always available. When the thoughts turn dark remember the magical moments, put yourself in that state, maybe this is by looking at a color that reminds you of that time, or looking at a picture, listening to a song or smelling a flower, whatever it is just do it, and breathe, breathe in the goodness and exhale letting go of the pain and the suffering that is not yours to own. Even if it is seemingly difficult to imagine, you can do it, it is empowering and over time you will see the change, things that affected you before will come and go, visualize it leaving your body and find peace in your life.
Fotografica: magical moments, surreal to the naked eye, as real as I imagine them to be, reminding me that this life is magical, it compels me to go further and continue the good work, especially those moments when everything else seems impossible.
